The lone wolf ran for winters
His pack had made him leave
He could return only if he could prove himself
Although he was strong he was also scared
He knew his place but not his strength

The gray wolf ran with eyes as cold as ice and as clear as spring

Yes the lone wolf returned but only to find his fate lie ahead
He had returned to the pond only to find his pack had left
And so went the wolf roaming for another heartless winter
And another till the he died the lone wolf wondred why he had been left behind.
